I don't think so...I think that the technology is there, but the will isn't. So many people are ignorant on the issue, or, worse, just plain don't care. People wasting energy and materials left and right with no regard for anyone but themselves.

so if there is no real solution to global warming if there is nothing we can do to completely stop it from happening, why would we attempt??

just a question

No, first of all, it's "global" warming not "american" warming and second of all, what is there to do about it?

thats m question if we cant stop it, why try?

sorry about the geographical error

well what im saying is we cant stop it because the entire planet would ahve to put forth the same effort, then we arrive at the question- what is the effort we need to stop "global warming" if it's real. And the answer is, we can't really do anything. But over the last 3-5 years temperatures have come down.

True, Kyle, temperatures have come down, but that's because the polarities on the earth switch when the the weight of the polar ice caps is displaced. Thus, summer becomes winter, spring becomes autumn, etcetera. The reason temperatures come down is because winter will come later and later in the year.

Although the possibility for us to stop global warming completely is very slim, I believe that if more effort is placed into reducing car emissions, waste, etc. through educating the youth, then maybe the effect of global warming can definitely become reduced significantly. Although some people may not make an effort, there are still others out there who are willing to make lifestyle changes if it’s good for the community. All it takes is awareness. It’s good to have a bit of faith in humanity.

Well Natalie your question is a very good one and obviously one of great importance considering it affects every single living organism here on this planet. But unfortunately the answer to stopping global warming is not so simple as a a possible solution by a student in one of Dr. Singh's environmental science class. Thousands upon thousands of scientists work every day to try and figure out a way to stop the global warming of our planet, most of the time to no avail. As long as we live in a world that is fueled by industry and the desire to make money global warming is always going to be with us. And not only will global warming be here until the end of our planet, its acceleration is going to increase year after year with the increased production of machinery. Of course there are ways to slow the process of global warming, like less reliance on automobiles, and cleaner more environmentally friendly forms for fueling our world's unlimited power demand. In fact hybrids are great examples of how we are taking the step towards preventing global warming. The only problem is that in order to have a significant impact in cooling our planet, every person who drives would need to be driving an environmentally friendly car like a hybrid and at this time that is just not financially efficient and feasible to happen. Ultimately, globing warming is a problem that is inevitable in our environment. It was a great idea to pose this question to everyone, but unfortunately it would take a unilateral effort from mankind to prevent this disaster from occurring.
